Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Luma is an internationally acclaimed animation studio creating unforgettable characters, stories and worlds.
We create world-class animation and visual effects across film, television and advertising, combining storytelling, design and cutting-edge production craft.
Beyond bringing other people's stories to life, Luma creates and develops original entertainment and IP of its own.
At the centre of that journey is Liewe Heksie, one of South Africa's most beloved story worlds. Luma is the official custodian of the Liewe Heksie IP and is developing it as a full-length 3D animated feature film.
